The South Lynches Fire Prevention Division consists of a Deputy Chief, a Captain, and a Lieutenant. This division is responsible for a wide variety of Fire Prevention activities including the following: Coordinating hose, hydrant, dry hydrant, and water point maintenance & testing, Fire Pre-Planning, and assisting with Fire Inspections. The department Assistant Chief and Personnel Coordinator assists this group mainly in the areas of fire pre-planning and fire inspections. Each of our six stations has representatives that conduct fire pre-plans and fire inpsections with the assistance from SLFD Staff.
