Phone (843) 374-8690In 1955 seven firefighters began a mission to provide fire protection for the rural areas in the greater Lake City area in an effort to save lives and property. These seven firefighters laid the foundation for what is now the South Lynches Fire Department. Over the years, many great firefighters have served our department and our communities through their volunteer service, resulting in countless lives being saved and touched by their efforts. In a time where many say that volunteerism is on the decline, South Lynches Fire Department remains strong with over 100 volunteer firefighters that serve the community in which they live. If you are up to a challenge, have the desire to make a positive impact in our community through volunteer service, and wish to become a part of our South Lynches Firefighting Family, please take the time to complete an application.
